We are at the forefront of developing innovative, practical solutions for implementing Article 6 mitigation activities within urban landscapes.

Our mission centers on empowering city and provincial governments by strengthening both local and national capacities. We work hand in hand with these institutions to design impactful urban climate strategies, transforming them into ready-to-launch projects across Southeast Asia.

Beyond our regional focus, we actively collaborate with global stakeholders, creating opportunities under the Article 6 framework and unlocking new financial pathways for urban climate action.

Our Activities
Assessment
Indonesia and Thailand were selected as partner countries to participate in this initiative. City emissions profiles and climate policy instruments were assessed in order to identify activities suitable for Article 6 that could also lead to the generation of Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs).
Development
A total of three greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction activities were selected due to their contribution to urban climate change mitigation, sustainable development co-benefits and Article 6 potential.

Stakeholder consultations were conducted to understand challenges, oportunities and leverage local and national capacities.
Activity technical documents were developed.

Outreach
During the outreach phase, interaction with potential international buyers has informed next steps towards implementation for local partners.
Local and international capacity building is also a key component of this initiative, informing relevant stakeholders about the opportunities and requirements of Article 6 to leverage additional climate finance in Southeast Asia.

Recognizing the importance of capacity building across local and national stakeholders for effective international cooperation, our initiative is committed to enhancing the understanding and implementation of Article 6. To support this goal, we have curated a dedicated section on our website, providing key information and resources on Article 6.

The success of this initiative is facilitated by a cross-collaborative effort between four facilitators aimed at facilitating urban climate action.
